As we conclude the end of the 2016 Rio Olympics and Australia continues to battle above its weight class, whilst looking at the final medal tally, it got me thinking… if only there was an international olympics for real estate markets.
Imagine that! Australia would be leading the charge and if Sydney were to have an athlete that represented dominance, it would be the equivalent of a Usain Bolt type profile, a huge fan favourite with lots of personality and character.
In all seriousness, what we can learn from the Olympics is that it is important to remember that when you hear, or read about the success stories of above reserve prices and solid auction clearance rates across the Sydney market, you really have to be in it to win it.
I have had a number of vendors coming to me of late, considering whether to sell or not, trying to identify the perfect time to list and I genuinely believe that the time is now.
Those who know me well enough, know that I always suggest to try and hold on to property.
Buyers are eager to transact, I think we are about to see some very exciting results across Sydney as Spring approaches, which is always well renown as the best time to capture the increasing Spring demand.
Of course not every athlete in Rio 2016 could win a gold medal but that doesn’t mean they did not all achieve great outcomes.
